Arabian Nights...Journey to Dubai, Sharjah via Qatar

As Salaam Aleikum!!  The Arabian Nights Spent in the UAE calls for a description of the same...

The Arabian Nation of Dubai in United Arab Emirates, can definitely be compared to an oasis amidst the barren Middle Eastern Deserts across the coastal areas of the Persian Gulf of UAE. My several visits to the nation has been driven by profession wherein i had to undertake the role of a professional Tour Manager escorting a group of tourists who were there for a sponsored trip.

To sum it up, Dubai is a paradise of worldliness wherein you can get all the luxuriousness in life if you have the money to buy it. In the form of anything literally. The Burj Khalifa, Tallest man made free standing structure on Earth till date, is a feat to encounter and a visit to its 124th floor observatory preferably during the night, will make one feel as if you are experiencing a land of dreams through your eyes, especially if you heil from a very small town in any of the states in India, just as i do. The musical fountain in front of the Dubai Mall with the Burj Khalifa in the background, designed by the same architect who has created the Bellagio Fountain in Las Vegas, is a treat to watch every half an hour with various music like Arabian, Western and even Indian!

One can shop till they drop in any of the many internationally standardized malls in the city like the Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates etc. Vehicles like the Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini etc are commonly seen in the Valet parking areas of these malls thus giving an idea of the clientele that actually can make amends here.

A must mentioning needs to made about the Palm Jumeirah Islands, developed by Al Nakheel Group, by reclaiming land in the Arabian sea in the form of a Palm Tree with a Round Cover over Its Head. This man made island, houses, Excellent Five Star Hotels, Private Villas overlooking Beaches, Apartments etc and the prices of the same, i would require a calculator to calculate!

The Desert Safaris will take you to Camps set amidst the desert of Sharjah and Dubai wherein local Arabian entertainment in the form of Tamboura & Belly Dance Shows, Arabian Cuisine etc are displayed. The Sheesahs and the Mehendis would engross the Tourist in Arabian Culture. The Abras are a nice option to ferry across the Dubai Creek between Bur Dubai and Deira Dubai. The Al Fahidi Fort which now houses an underground museum portraying the evolvement of the city is a good experience for the Tourist. It is indeed amazing to note how this barren area, developed into a city of International standard with the discovery of Oil under its earth, or i should rather say, under its sand. The wealth generated from the same channelized into other investments like Tourism, Real Estate thus making the Dubai of today. Dubai is a Free port thus promoting business over the years... The Gold Souk(Arabian word for market) and the Spice Souk gives Tourists an experience of Arabian culture. The traders in the Spice market though mostly hail from Iran ferrying into the Dubai Creek across the Ocean.

Do not forget to try the Shawarma in any of the street food joints in Dubai. It is actually a Meat preparation rolled with mayonnaise in a bread and is a delicious local street cuisine to dig into. The weather is Hot Dry throughout the year though the months of December - February remain pleasant and cool especially in the nights. The Jumeirah beach, overlooking the Burj al Arab Hotel, gives a Tourist an opportunity to go for a swim in the Deep Blue Ocean with white Sands!!

For the Kids, the Snow Park in the Mall of the Emirates, the Wild Wadi Water Park in Jumeirah area and the Lost Chambers Aquarium at Atlantis the Palm, in Palm Jumeirah Islands, will provide adequate entertainment...

Day Tours can also be undertaken to the other States of the UAE like the Abu Dhabi (Capital State) or Sharjah... The Ferrari World is a  new attraction that has come up in Abu Dhabi and being frequented by tourists of all age...

Though the Middle East is quite rigid and strict in its Muslim culture, Dubai does attract Worldwide Tourists and hence quite pertaining to their interests too...

Are you Interested to Explore an Arabian Experience??

Namaskar!!
